Lions live in prides led by related females. They sleep for much of the day and hunt mostly at dusk, night and dawn, so early and late game drives give the best chance of seeing activity.
The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are well known for lion sightings, and Lake Manyara has a reputation for lions that rest in trees. Sightings can never be guaranteed, but patient drivers and good timing help.
